Those chosen by the Maiden of Battles are warriors of uncanny skill, striking weaknesses and offering no openings in return. For a cost of the Lesser Sign plus a point of willpower, the Sidereal attunes herself to the combat she is in. She adds (Essence/2, round up) to her Dodge and Parry DVs, whilst simultaneously negating the same amount from the DVs of her enemies, and is immune to sneak attacks. However, the Kata is broken if the Sidereal does not attack for two consecutive actions or is forced to spend willpower to resist unnatural mental influence. For an extra two points of willpower, the Sidereal may negate both of her opponent’s DVs for a single attack, though she loses her own DV bonus until her next action. This charm is obvious, as the sidereal’s anima flares totemic for a second before the crimson light is absorbed into the weapons she wields, which continue to glow with red light until the Kata is ended.
This charm permanently enhances the Battles anima power. Only a Chosen of Battles or a Sidereal (or Moonshadow or Eclipse Caste) with Battles Exalt Ways may learn this charm, otherwise it is exclusive to Mars’ Chosen.
