Note: This Charm has a special prerequisite of Conviction or Temperance 4.
The Creatures of Darkness which claw and snarl at the edges of the world are figures of dread, the monsters of children’s stories and of soldier’s tales alike. But it is in the dark that fear is most found; drag them into the light, and all their flaws and frailty are revealed. Though the foes of Creation may seem invincible, those Resplendent Suns with the keenness to see through their deceptions can sear away their illusions of might as the Sun burns away the mist, revealing their true wretchedness.
By spending a dot of willpower when their normal anima is already in effect, the Lawgiver who has enhanced his innate powers with this Charm can brighten his solar fire into a searing light. Any Creature of Darkness within (Essence x 10) yards seems to become weaker and more fragile, even to themselves; the flaws in their technique or the chinks in their armor seem to stand out, apparent to everyone. They suffer half the Zenith’s Essence as a penalty to their DVs against all physical or social attackers, and if their Essence is lower than the Solar’s, their Valour rating is halved and any magical fear effect they cause is nullified.
