His journey complete, the Martial Artist has reached the pinnacle of his Essence control… and gone beyond it. He has climbed the Emerald Roots and now the Sapphire Bulb is laid open to him.
The Martial Artist gains several benefits from completing Emerald Essence Style. The first is that he may now increase his Permanent Essence up to 5 using the same methods as Exalts, though the training time instead represents a period of extreme asceticism and intensive martial arts training. The second benefit is that he may now innitiate into Sapphire Circle Sorcery and learn Celestial Martial Arts styles. He requires a Dexterity+Martial Arts check to activate the Form charm from a Celestial Martial Arts style just like a Dragon-Blooded would, and also requires a similar one using Intelligence+Occult for each Shape Celestial Circle Sorcery action he takes. Should he fail these checks the Form-Type charm fails to activate or the Sorcery Spell is lost and his action is wasted in both cases, but no Essence is spent, though any Willpower spent on previous Shape Celestial Circle Sorcery Actions remains spent.
