Abandoning all attachments to life and the material world of Creation, the martial artist becomes like the dead. The martial artist dematerializes, becoming like a ghost. However, any unarmed attack he makes can still strike material beings, as long as the attacks are enhanced with Charms. In addition, whenever he deals damage to a living character with an unarmed attack, it drains (Essence) motes from the target, replenishing the martial artist’s essence pools. If the martial artist damages a mortal with an unarmed attack, they die automatically. Finally, when using this Charm, the martial artist’s name is forsaken, lost to all. No one can remember it, speak it, write it, or read it–even the martial artist himself. Many masters of the Carmine Pyre create titles by which they may be called to counteract this.
