Default Trait: Martial Arts

One of the most recently developed Martial Arts, Butterflies and Hurricanes Technique was developed by a Changing Moon master known as Dancing Moonlight. She came to understand that the restrictions and order of her disciplined life had taught her also the opposite: that with the right kind of discipline it was possible to abandon discipline utterly, that instead of channeling essence in a rigid way it could simply be released uncontrolled. She then set about creating a martial art based on this new philosophy. The technique is growing in popularity amongst Lunar martial artists, who acknowledge that flux and chaos are inherent parts of their very being, whilst also knowing control is necessary to prevent great destruction (such as through the advent of chimerism). However, it has yet to make much impact outside the Silver Pact, given their scattered and insular nature.

Butterflies and Hurricanes Technique favours weapons that are chaotic and unpredictable in nature, and thus it allows the use of all rope and chain weapons (including whips), as well as seven-section-staves and artifact equivalents like chain daiklaves. It will not work with other weapons. This style prohibits the use of armour and shields.
