The predatory Dragon Kings are keenly aware of the thin edge between success and failure. Success brings food, pleasure, aid; the things that help life continue. Failure brings hunger, shame, pain; things which speed death. With this Power, they can ready themselves to detect when success will not materialise, and utilise their magic to amend their failures before they fully unfold.
A Dragon King who has this Power active may invoke it after making a roll based on Perception, a Physical Attribute, or any of their Breed or Favoured Abilities. If the roll fails or botches, then before the effect of the failure is announced, they may immediately invoke any of the previous Excellencies, if applicable, in order to roll new dice or to convert the failed dice to successes. No Combo with the other Excellencies is required.
This Power may also be used when a static value is revealed as insufficient for a task, in which case this Power allows the value to be increased.
