Though the Dragon Kings are often outmatched in power and skill by the human Exalted, it remains that they have been manipulating Essence longer than any mere human, and their capability to use it is not to be underestimated. A Dragon King with this Power has reached the pinnacle of their capacity to use their mastery of Essence to enhance themselves, and has attained a point where they may enhance the ability to use Essence itself.
When activated, the Dragon King’s Essence resonates and reflects in upon itself, amplifying its power. Each mote spent when activating this Power reduces by 1 the amount of motes spent in all essence expenditures that scene, to a minimum of 1. The Dragon King can spend no more motes when activating this Charm than their Essence. Additionally, while in effect, the Dragon King’s Essence rating is consider 1 dot higher than it actually is for the purpose of resisting effects for which Essence is a factor. This Power was considered especially invaluable to Dragon King sorcerers.
The usefulness of this Power is not without cost, however. The overflow of power within the Dragon King’s body, though extremely invigorating while in effect, causes a powerful fatigue when the Power wears off. At the end of the Scene, the Dragon King who used this power is afflicted with a penalty to all actions equal to the amount of motes spent to activate it initially. This penalty wears off at 1 die of penalty per hour in which the Dragon King does not engage in strenuous activity.
